Why Kiln Dried?
Stove manufacturers recommend using logs with a moisture content of less than 20%
unseasoned
wood can contain up to 90% moisture
using Kiln Dried logs will give around 2 x the output of unseasoned wood and will
also help to reduce the build up of tar in the flue
Hardwood logs also have twice the calorific value of softwoods.
